Exchange Student Scholarship Program

Introduction

Students at our University can take exchange programs at a foreign sister college that has been signed an agreement to exchange students and credits with us. Selected students can learn at a sister college for the given term to acquire credits.

Application Process

- Qualifications : Completed more than one year at our University with 3.0(B0) of higher cumulative GPA.

                        Must present language test scores for the official language of their applying country

                        and be able to apply for foreign visas to travel abroad. 

                        Also, must not have any previous history of taking exchange programs.
- Selection Period : Publicly notified every April and October.
- Study Abroad Period : No longer than 2 semesters.
- Evaluation Criteria : Foreign Language Scores, Semester Grades(or GPA), Merit Points, etc.

Overseas Dispatch Language Training Program

Introduction

As students are required to have good foreign language skills to interact with the world, they are supported to take language training programs offered by colleges and academies in the U.S., Japan, China, etc and encouraged to improve their global communication skills and challenge the world while studying abroad.

- Qualifications : Completed more than one semester at our University. Must be able to apply for

                        foreign visas to travel abroad not have any previous history of taking exchange

                        programs or language training programs abroad.
- Selection Period : Publicly notified every May and November.
- Study Abroad Period : No longer than 4 weeks.
- Evaluation Criteria : Foreign Language Scores, Semester Grades(or GPA), Merit Points, etc

Global Volunteers of KOICA

Introduction

Young professionals are dispatched to developing countries to share their development experiences with the people of those countries. Global Volunteers Project has the mission to collaborate with and work for developing countries to contribute to their economic/social development and to improve the quality of life of their people.

- Sponsorships : Local training, living expenses abroad, flight fares, and insurance (KOICA).
 Members that successfully serve a term abroad will be paid according to the length
 of service (KOICA) and students will receive up to 18 credit hours per semester.
- Dispatch Period, Destinations & Number of Openings : Refer to public notice.
- Qualifications : Hankyong National University students or any Korean citizen between 20 and 60 years of age
 (all males must have fulfilled military duties or be exempted). Must satisfy the qualification
 requirements requested by receiving country (criteria, experience, etc) and not fall into
 disqualifications described in Article 33 of the National Official Act.
