There are 4 parts in the major: Crop Physiology and Biochemistry, Soil Science, Pesticide Science, and Molecular Crop Breeding. Dept. of Global logistics offers M.S. in Logistics and courses at night and weekend.

Major of Horticultural Science

The field of horticultural science is mainly divided into vegetables, pomology, floriculture, breeding and biotchnology, protected horticulture, post-harvest management, plant propagation, and urban horticulture. This major focuses on studies on various horticultural crops such as classification, physiology, breeding, functional quality, production management, and cultivation system.

Introduction to Curricula

Each major has special curriculum as well as common courses in the department. Crop Physiology and Biochemistry discusses on abiotic stress and medicinal plants. Soil Science discusses environmental subjects occurring in soil and fertilization. Pesticide Science discusses the mode of action of pesticides and natural componds. Molecular Crop Breeding focusses on the selection of cultivars and their functional characteristics

Introduction to Curricula(Horticultural Science)

Curricula were focused on the integration course between crop and function including advanced pomology, advanced plant pathology, development of pomology industry, nutrition physiology for horticultural crops, advanced vegetable crops, soilless culture, herb & spice crop science, advanced greenhouse management, plant factory, advanced floriculture, advanced native plant research, advanced horticultural propagation, environmental urban agriculture, advanced landscape architects, flowering physiology of floriculture and ornamental plants, advanced plant biotechnology, molecular genetic breeding, advanced of horticulture genetics and breeding, reproductive physiology of horticultural crops, seed science and technology, advanced experimental statistics, quality control of horticultural products, thesis study, and seminar.

Beyond Graduation

Graduates can find employment as national research institute and industrial research areas. Also they can have an opportunity to be hired as agricultural product manger in logistics and service companies.
