Promotion and Execution of Research Projects related to the Production Environment, Residential Environment and Family Living Environment in Rural Areas, Improvement and Training of Advanced Agricultural Science and Technology, and Maintenance of Rural Environment-related Data
The Institute was established for Promoting and Execution of Research Projects related to the Rural Production Environment, Residential Environment and Family Living Environment, Improvement and Training of Advanced Agricultural Science and Technology, Maintenance of Rural Environment-related Data, Domestic and International Conferences and Exchanges, and Regular/Irregular Lectures, Holding of Presentations and Discussions and other research and academic projects in line with the purpose of the Institute.
Purpose of Establishment
- Establishment and planning of a Comprehensive Research Strategy based on the New Livestock Breeding System by the use of Biotechnology and Genome Research Results
- Maximization and efficiency of Research Performance in related fields through Integrated Utilization System of the Unit Research Team and Element Technology
- Construction of Optimal Genome Information D / B to complement weak research infrastructure (Molecular Genetics, Statistical Breeding, Applied Biostatistics, Information Processing, Total Utilization Information System)

The Institute comprises Plant Resource Science Research Department, Animal Resource Science Research Department, Agricultural Engineering Research Department, Rural Environmental Science Research Department, and Agricultural Management Research Department.
