This department teaches the fostering of animal life resources and utilization technologies of health and environment and the most advanced technologies of biotechnology to cultivate high-quality workforce needed for the 21st century and conducts research to secure various life resources, produce bioactive substances, and respond to climate change to improve human welfare.
The Department of Animal Life and Environmental Science is composed of two tracks, the Animal Life Track, and the Animal Biosystem. Animal life track is a discipline that combines traditional animal life application technology with cutting-edge life science technology, aiming to educate new animal producers using the molecular biological interpretation of animal functions and genetic engineering techniques. This track teaches advanced theories and methods of livestock feeding, physiology, heredity, breeding, nutrition, microorganisms, and diseases to develop the resources and advanced technologies necessary to improve the quality of human life. The Animal Biosystem Track researches a wide range of fields from management, distribution, livestock food processing, animal biomass and the environment to foster experts who will play a pivotal role in the development of linked industries as well as the production of the animal industry.
