This department operates a convergence education program to actively deal with various contemporary issues and changes as a designer. In particular, the primary purpose is to educate designers who crossover digital and analog boundaries through convergence between media and design fields. Visual design majors can learn digital media design along with systematic learning in their major areas, and digital media design majors can learn typography and formative arts and communication. Besides, the Department seeks to converge knowledge through interdisciplinary education through linkage with other major fields beyond fusion within the design field.
In conjunction with the Department of Child and Family Welfare, Business Administration, Media and Creative Writing, and Computer Engineering, knowledge convergence education is also provided to realize new content-oriented value creation in addition to the traditional model of designer-client
