Educational objectives and introduction

Department of Child and Family Welfare aims to cultivate competent professionals with the basic skills, expertise, skills and warm heart that are essential for activities in various fields of modern society through comprehensive education in child care, family counseling and social welfare. The curriculum of this department is divided into two majors: Major in Child and Family Stud and Major in Social Welfare. Major in Child and Family runs a Master Course to educate children and families. Courses are organized based on scientific inquiry and understanding of early childhood development, childcare issues, counseling and treatment, and students may experience a variety of field experiences. In the case of major in social welfare, students acquire professional knowledge about social welfare practice and social welfare policy, and obtain the license for social worker level 2 (1st level: license by national examination) based on the field practice of the social welfare institution, and can work as a social worker in various related fields (a social welfare officer, general social welfare center, various social welfare facilities, welfare foundation, etc.).
